Plenty to do Friday

Friday started with a tour of the Syracuse Football facility and the ground breaking for the John A Laily Athletic Complex. The facility is named after three time Football Letter wInner John Laily ‘82. The new cutting edge facility is the Academic and Athletic Village home for 20 Syracuse University, athletic teams, and will support 600 SU student athletes.

Garrett Shrader was warming up in the Ensley Center and came over to talk Football with several of the SFC members who were touring the facilities.

Dino Babers was present and made himself available as was Syracuse’s new Mascot Hall of Fame Inductee Otto.

For those that didn’t have an opportunity to register Thursday night Registration was available at Drumlin’s. Yes, that’s SU Great, Dan Conley helping with registration.

After a full buffet lunch everyone was ready to Golf on Drumlins private East course or head to Destiny Mall for RPM Racing.

Meir’s Creek, a local craft Brewery and Restaurant made a special run of SFC Pilsner.

The Miers Creek Team won the Captain and Crew Event.

Jim Sessler won the Putting Contest.

Dennis Hartman won closest to the pin.

Ed “Crabman” Zamaitis won the longest Drive
